Snow Day: Hamtramck Public Schools is Closed Thursday, January 15, 2026

Due to the timing of predicted winter storm conditions overnight into Wednesday morning, Hamtramck Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, December 10th.  Additionally, all afterschool activities are cancelled Wednesday, December 10th.

Hamtramck Public Schools is open and in session today.  Hamtramck Academy has reported closed.  Please see the following list of closures today on the local news website for up to date closures.

Dear HPS staff and families,

Due to the winter weather advisory in effect until 7:00 am Thursday Hamtramck Public Schools and administration buildings will be closed Thursday, February 13.  

All Wednesday afterschool events scheduled past or after 5:00 pm are cancelled.

Tonight’s Board meeting is rescheduled for 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
